Origin

The Stone

Ammolite is the iridescent shell of ammonites — marine creatures that swam the seas 75 million years ago. Buried and mineralized, their nacre transformed into a gem that splits light into a living rainbow.

"Mined only in the Bearpaw Formation of Alberta, Canada — one of the rarest gemstones on Earth.

Unlike pigments, ammolite's color comes from light interference. Microscopic platelets in the fossilized shell bend and reflect light, shifting from crimson to violet as the stone moves. No two stones share the same pattern.

The cracked, scale-like surface is not a flaw — it is the fossil's original structure, preserved across millennia. Each fissure catches light differently, making every angle a new spectrum.

Rainbow Scale Texture

The dragon-scale surface is the ammonite's original nacre structure. Each microscopic platelet refracts light independently — crimson at one angle, sapphire at the next.

Rose Gold Bezel

A smooth rose gold bezel wraps the oval cabochon, protecting the fragile fossil edge while letting the full spectrum face forward. Warm metal meets cool color.

Split Shank Band

The band divides into two sweeping curves beneath the stone — an architectural negative space that lets light pass through and gives the ring a weightless, floating presence.
